John Grigsby (GRIGS) is a musician and sound designer who also paints, makes films, and creates critically acclaimed multimedia animations. His works An Introduction to Lucid Dream Exploration—a highly intricate stop-motion animation made entirely on an Etch A Sketch—and Plato’s Allegory in Clay have been featured at film festivals around the world. With roots in traditional hand-drawn and stop-motion animation, Grigsby has recently shifted his focus to cutting-edge digital tools. When he's not on the road as the bassist for Gregory Alan Isakov, he’s producing his own music as well as being immersed in PALINGENESIS, an interactive “music video game” that he conceptualized and created.
